Team Leader – Helpline & Engagement Service

Salary:             £27,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours:             37 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, including 1 Saturday a

month

Office Based – Leicester

About the role:

You will be responsible be responsible for day-to-day supervisory responsibilities for all caseworkers/Volunteers within the Helpline & Engagement Service (H&ES).  The team leader will support the Service Manager to ensure all operations are effective, delivered to a high-quality and compliant with the contractual scope and quality standards

Caseworkers – Helpline & Engagement Service

Salary:             £20,092.00-£21,589.00 pro rata, dependent on experience.

Office Based – Leicester

These are new roles for our Domestic and Sexual violence/abuse Helpline Service following the award of a new contract – Helpline & Engagement Service (H&ES).

We are recruiting for 4 posts as follows:

Post 1: 18.5 hours per week (Ref: CWHES1): Sunday: 1pm – 8pm; Monday & Tuesday: 1.30pm – 8pm

Post 2: 18.5 hours per week (Ref: CWHES2) Thursday & Friday: 1.30pm – 8pm; Saturday: 1pm – 8pm

Post 3: 37 hours per week (Ref CWHES3) Monday to Friday: 8am – 4pm, including 1 Saturday a month

Post 4: 37 hours per week (Ref CWHES4) Monday to Friday: 12pm – 8pm, including 1 Saturday a month

About the roles:

You will be responsible for taking calls on our helpline for members of the public and professionals which operates Monday to Sunday 8am – 8pm.   You will undertake risk and needs assessment, safety planning with victims of domestic and or Sexual Abuse.  You will carry a caseload of clients ensuring their immediate needs are met and referring to other appropriate support as and when identified.

You will provide enhanced support to victims assessed as high risk and/or as having additional support needs which increases vulnerability. You will carry a caseload of clients ensuring their immediate needs are met and referring to other appropriate support as and when identified.

About the role:

You will be act as the dedicated single point of contact with second tier services and maintain an up-to-date overview of the capacity of each service. You will be responsible for the coordination of referrals and updates across the Service System.

You will be responsible for providing a specialist service to Male victims of domestic violence  across Leicestershire & Rutland, recognising and responding to the additional barriers they may face in engaging with the service through our standard offer. Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) – Sexual Violence & Abuse Service 

Salary:             £21,440 – £22,888 per annum

Hours:             37hrs per week, Monday to Friday

Office Based – Leicester

About the role:

To provide pro-active services to adult victims of sexual violence within and outside the criminal justice to:

  • Risk assess clients and help clients keep safe
  • Ensure clients are aware of their options in relation to the recording and reporting of sexual assault
  • Help clients access their rights that they are entitled to including access to health and other services that they require
  • Monitor and keep clients informed of case progress
  • To ensure that the support is working to internal and multi-agency best practice guidelines; with the aim of increasing victim satisfaction, decreasing re-victimisation, ensuring victims have access to appropriate and timely support, explore reporting options and a reduction in victim withdrawals from the criminal justice process where appropriate

Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Support Worker (ISVA) – Sexual Violence & Abuse Service 

Salary:            £20,695 (pro rota) per annum

Hours:             18.5hrs per week

Office Based – Leicester

About this role:

You will provide pro-active services to victims of rape and sexual assault.

  • To respond to and process new referrals into the ISVA/CHISVA service
  • To undertake initial assessments, risk and needs assessments with clients following their initial referral into ISVA/CHISVA services
  • Support with case closures, evaluation and data monitoring
  • To ensure accurate record-keeping and collection of data for monitoring purposes, completion of monitoring reports and to provide statistical information for evaluation purposes as required
  • To undertake regular welfare calls for clients waiting for allocation to an ISVA/CHISVA

Salary:             £25,385 – £26,147, pro rata

Role may require some travel to meet the needs of the service.

Make a Change is a multi-tiered and early response to the perpetration of domestic abuse which was developed by Respect in partnership with Women’s Aid Federation England, and draws on the Change That lasts model. We provide expert support to those using abusive behaviour in their intimate relationships, separate and confidential support to their partners and ex-partners, Recognise, Respond & Refer training for trusted professionals, and broader support including outreach to local communities.
