Specialist Domestic Abuse Services Manager

Main purposes of the post

The Service Manager will work alongside our existing Service Manager to ensure all
operations are effective, delivered to a high-quality and compliant with the contractual scope
and quality standards. Ensuring professional, trauma informed and responsive services that
actively seeks to engage victims to ensure our service; collaborate effectively with other
services within the system to meet individual needs which ensures client safety and recovery
from the abuse they have experienced including:
Key tasks:
– Day to day and line management supervision, recruitment, induction and training of
staff/volunteers within the specialist team
– Ensure the review, daily triage and allocation of cases; ensuring all cases identified as
high risk of harm by University Hospitals Leicester (UHL), Helpline & Engagement
service, other Freeva services +/or third-party agencies are assessed and referred to the
Daily MARAC via MODUS where appropriate
– Ensure the effective information sharing at MARAC including providing updates for
reviews of cases as appropriate.
– Undertake case management and case audits to ensure best practice is followed at all
times
– Deliver training and briefing sessions to staff and wider partners
– Ensure safeguarding responsibilities have been met and referrals made to statutory
agencies and partner services as appropriate
– Ensure adequate cover across the specialist team including HIDVA, SDVC & MARAC
